Akron is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Akron is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Average to beginner friendly. Pretty wide open fairways, fairly hilly, but not to difficult. Fairways are 7/10, greens are 8/10. Overall the course is a great value for the money.

Great course and great value. Was able to book a tee time for a pair the morning I wanted to play. I was happy with a Friday afternoon price of $50 for 18. I was even more impressed by how beautiful the course was. The layout is fantastic and the fairways and greens were very well maintained. Every person from Ivy Ridge I encountered (pro shop, starter, Halfway House, Marshal) was very friendly and accommodating. I have to say this stood out to me, because frankly Iโ€™m tired of dealing with cranky people at golf courses! Itโ€™s a service industry job, learn how to treat customers. The staff at Ivy Ridge gets it and were wonderful. Would have honestly given 4.6 to 4.8 stars if it had been an option, only for a lack of technology and information. The carts donโ€™t have electronic systems in them and the course book was a little a little light on course info. There were a few blind shots where some additional info would have helped. In fairness, the yardage markers were ample and easy to find. Again I am nitpicking on this. Iโ€™ll share one final thought which is a statement regarding the golfers, not the staff or the course. For the love of all that is good, please fix your d

I called to book a tee time and asked about the walking rate. When I mentioned that we would be walking, I was told it was only a $5 difference from riding. I replied that we also enjoy the exercise, and the gentleman working in the pro shop around 5:00 p.m. July 18th responded with, โ€œWhatever.โ€ The interaction came across as dismissive and unprofessional. A simple, courteous response would have made all the difference. Customer service is an important part of the golfing experience, and unfortunately, this first impression was very disappointing.

Nice course. It was really windy and car path only but challenging course. Staff at the course very cordial and accommodating

The nicest course in this area. There may be some debate, and I'm by no means an expert. I've only been to a small handful of courses. This one was by far the nicest, most well maintained course. Every hole is immaculate. The layout, the design, the fairways and the greens. Everything was just incredible. Unbeatable place to golf. Gorgeous clubhouse. The 6 pin location system, with the locations for every green up at the top of the carts is just so cool. It's a decent drive out from where I live, but absolutely worth the trip. If you get the opportunity to play here I highly suggest you take that chance. You won't regret it.
